| Abstract | ||||||||||||||||||||
| The goal of this document is to give students the opportunity to efficiently and effectively practice using a Fourier series expansion. Previous work with the Fourier series in class or through outside readings should be used as preparation for this exercise. Students should have some experience with Mathcad. They should also know the difference between an odd and even function. This exercise serves as a foundation for future work in quantum mechanics where, for example, linear combinations of functions are used to express solutions to the Schroedinger Equation. | ||||||||||||||||||||
