Abstract
This document provides students with an overview of Fick's Law. The goal is to provide the user with the opportunity to explore some of the basic diffusion concepts via appropriate mathematical models. The first model examines the diffusion from a slice of concentrated solution using Fick's Second Law. The document then goes on to explore a step function diffusion model. A link is made to diffusion in biological systems. Nine exercises guide the user in learning the basic concepts of diffusion.
